Dear Parents,
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, I want to say Thank You for being part of the St. Peter’s School family! I am proud to be part of our community as we continue to teach our children to live out and celebrate our core values to grow, accomplish, love, serve, and unite.
While we are thankful for all our blessings—like our families, our friends, and our homes, to name a few—let us also remember to pray for those who are in need and who are facing particularly difficult challenges during this holiday time. Together, let us offer this prayer (written by “Anonymous”):
O Heavenly Father:
We thank You for food and remember the hungry.
We thank You for health and remember the sick.
We thank You for friends and remember the friendless.
We thank You for freedom and remember the enslaved.
May these remembrances stir us to service,
That Your gifts to us may be used for others. AMEN.
During this holiday season, let us not forget that we will soon be entering into a new church–or liturgical–season… the season of ADVENT! As this liturgical season approaches, begin thinking of ways that you and your child can prepare your hearts for the coming of Jesus at Christmas time!
Have a blessed, happy Thanksgiving!
--Mrs. Sandra Jimenez

TRIMESTER 2
We are now in our Second Trimester of the school year. REPORT CARDS for Trimester 1 will be going home with students on Monday, November 27, when we return from the Thanksgiving break.
Also going home with the Report Cards are your child’s latest STAR Test results.

SCHOOL PICTURE RE-TAKES
LifeTouch School Photo Re-Take Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28. If your child was absent on our first picture day, or would like to re-take their school photo, he/she may take their photo on November 28 in their complete school uniform.
To order online, go to https://my.lifetouch.com/mylifetouch/#/ and enter our Picture Day ID: EVTT8N94S
* If you purchased a photo package from the original picture day but would like to return that package for a new photo, please have your child bring the COMPLETE photo package back to school, and he/she may take a re-take photo. SCHOOL FOODIES
We'd like to remind you about our exceptional school lunch program School Foodies!
They can help ease the burden of grocery shopping and lunch preparation during this busy Holiday season. If your student has not tried SchoolFoodies, we invite you to register them at www.SchoolFoodies.com, using registration code: SF-SPS
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to them at 510.556.8900 or contact@schoolfoodies.com. They can help make the holidays easier, one meal at a time. You may also contact our school office with any questions.
MORNINGS IN KINDERGARTEN and SHADOW VISITS
Spread the word! Students entering Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year are invited to participate in “Mornings in Kindergarten.” While parents take a tour of the school, the prospective Kindergartener will spend some time in the Kindergarten classroom.
** As announced last school year, the 2024 -2025 Kindergarten class will be our first DUAL-LANGUAGE IMMERSION (DLI) class, with academic content being taught in English and Spanish. For more information about the upcoming DLI program, visit our website at https://www.stpeterssf.org/dli
Students entering grades 1-7 for the 2023-2024 school year are invited to participate in “Shadow Visits,” when they spend some time in their grade-level classroom, and take their entrance exam afterwards.
If you or someone you know is interested in scheduling a Morning In Kindergarten or Shadow Visit, contact the school office at 415-647-8662, or email our School Marketing Coordinator, Janelle Godoy at jgodoy@sanpedro.org.
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
We live our core value to UNITE as students wear their school uniform with pride. Please remember that the complete daily uniform includes the plain white polo shirt, navy slacks or uniform skirt/jumper, green uniform sweatshirt, black or white socks, and solid black or solid white sneakers (tennis shoes).
On Fridays (unless there is a church service), students may wear the optional gray Aztecs hoodie, Aztecs sweatpants, and Aztecs T-shirt.
** To purchase the gray Aztecs sweats, obtain an order form in the school office.
For more details on the school uniform, refer to the Uniform section of the Parent-Student Handbook that was distributed on the first day of school, which is also available on the school website: http://www.stpeterssf.org/parents-students
Students who are out of uniform will receive a “Uniform Notice” to be signed by a parent or guardian, as a reminder about the uniform policy, and to help us unite as a school community!
