Dear Parents,
As we approach the conclusion of this month of the Rosary, we can reflect on the different events in Mary’s and Jesus’ lives. These reflections, connections, and prayers can fill us with joy and thanksgiving, and also give us strength during hard times. Let us offer this prayer together (adapted from a prayer on gatherandgrow.com) as we continue learning and living out our core values to Grow, Accomplish, Love, Serve, and Unite!
Dear God,
Thank you for the gift of education in every form. As we prepare for our learning, may confidence be our foundation, may grace be our guide, and may hope be our compass toward a brighter future. We pray that we have eyes to see the needs of those around us and a heart to love well. May we face each day with positivity knowing that no matter what comes our way, we do not have to face it alone.
We are confident that through You, our loving Father, your care for us will never change. May we show the same love and care for one another in all we say and do at school, at home, and in our community. AMEN.
--Mrs. Sandra Jimenez
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Thank you to our parents and teachers for taking the time to meet on Zoom to discuss students’ progress. Your partnership is KEY to our children’s growth and learning. Teachers have reached out to parents who were not able to keep their conference appointment. If you were not able to keep your appointment with your child’s teacher, please reschedule your conference if you haven’t done so already.
CALENDAR REMINDER
As noted on our school calendar, next Monday, October 28 is a MINIMUM DAY (12:30 Dismissal) while teachers attend a meeting. BVCC will be open for students registered for Mondays. All other students should be picked up or on their way home at the 12:30 dismissal time.

SCHOOL HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION
Our school Halloween celebration will take place on Thursday, October 31. We will begin with a costume parade on the schoolyard at 1:00 PM, followed by games and snack sales. Parents are welcome to join the celebration.
Students are welcome to come to school in an age-appropriate Halloween costume on October 31. However, please do not bring any costume parts or props that resemble any type of weapon. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
Students may bring individually-wrapped treats to share with their classmates for the Halloween celebration. Teachers will notify families about the number of students in each class so that all students in the class are included if a treat is distributed.
Please contact the office with any questions!
HALLOWEEN DONATIONS AND VOLUNTEERS
We are accepting donations for our school Halloween celebration! Below is a list of needed items. Please notify the school office if you will be making a donation. We have a list with the things that you can donate:

ALL SAINTS DAY MASS
Next week, there will be no school Mass on Tuesday, October 29. Instead, we will attend school Mass on Friday, November 1 at 9:30 AM in observance of the Feast of All Saints. Families are welcome to join us in this Eucharistic celebration.
** Since we are attending Mass on Friday, November 1, all students should be in complete uniform–no gray sweats or free dress passes on that day.
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
We live our core value to UNITE as students wear their school uniform with pride. Please remember that the complete daily uniform includes the plain white polo shirt, navy slacks or uniform skirt/jumper, green uniform sweatshirt, black or white socks, and solid black or solid white sneakers (tennis shoes).
On Fridays (unless there is a church service), students may wear the optional gray Aztecs hoodie, Aztecs sweatpants, and Aztecs T-shirt.
** To purchase the gray Aztecs sweats, obtain an order form in the school office.
For more details on the school uniform, refer to the Uniform section of the Parent-Student Handbook that was distributed on the first day of school, which is also available on the school website: http://www.stpeterssf.org/parents-students
Students who are out of uniform will receive a “Uniform Notice” to be signed by a parent or guardian, as a reminder about the uniform policy, and to help us unite as a school community!
