Dear Parents,
Our Parent-Teacher Zoom Conferences begin today! Teachers will be sharing each student’s Progress Report for Trimester 1 and parents can learn about their children’s progress and ask teachers questions. Conferences are an important part of the school-home partnership, which helps to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth and learning.
During this time of Parent-Teacher Conferences, let us offer this prayer together:
Dear God,
Thank you for the gift of our children. Help us to set boundaries for them, and yet encourage them to explore. Give us the strength and courage to treat each day as a fresh start. May our children come to know you, the one true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. May your Holy Spirit help them to grow in faith, hope, and love, so they may know peace, truth, and goodness. May their ears hear your voice. May their eyes see your presence in all things. May their lips proclaim your word. May their hearts be your dwelling place. May their hands do works of charity. May their feet walk in the way of Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord. AMEN.

We appreciate your partnership, parents!

ZOOM PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
October 18, 19, and 20 are Minimum Day dismissals for students so that teachers can meet with all parents for the mandatory Parent-Teacher Conferences. This will be a time when teachers will be sharing each student’s Progress Report for Trimester 1. Parents can learn about their children’s progress and ask teachers questions. All Parent-Teacher Conferences will be conducted via Zoom.
Parents — If you are not able to keep your scheduled Parent-Teacher Conference appointment, please contact your child’s teacher right away, and reschedule your appointment. You may also call the school office between 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, and office staff will deliver the message to the teacher.
Thank you for your cooperation!
CALENDAR REMINDERS
As noted on our school calendar, this coming Monday, October 23 is a MINIMUM DAY (12:30 Dismissal). BVCC will be open for students who are registered for Mondays. All other students should be picked up or on their way home at the 12:30 Dismissal time.
FACULTY ADDITION
While our 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Gurleyen, goes on maternity leave until December, we welcome our long-term substitute teacher for 2nd grade–Ms. Barbara Cash. Welcome to St. Peter’s, Ms. Cash!
SCHOOL HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION
Our school Halloween celebration will take place on Friday, October 27. We will begin with a costume parade on the schoolyard at 1:00 PM, followed by games and snack sales. Parents are welcome to join the celebration.
Students are welcome to come to school in an age-appropriate Halloween costume on Friday, October 27. However, please do not bring any costume parts or props that resemble any type of weapon. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
Students may bring individually-wrapped treats to share with their classmates for the Halloween celebration. Teachers will notify families about the number of students in each class so that all students in the class are included if a treat is distributed.
Since our school Halloween celebration will be on Friday, October 27; Tuesday, October 31 will be a regularly scheduled school day with students in school uniform.
Please contact the office with any questions!

On Fridays (unless there is a church service), students may wear the optional gray Aztecs hoodie, Aztecs sweatpants, and Aztecs T-shirt.
