Dear Parents,
During Lent, we have been faced with a variety of unexpected challenges due to COVID-19. Such difficulties may have tested our faith, but the season of Lent also provided us all an opportunity and a reminder to talk to God, reflect, and take action. These challenges could then be seen as opportunities for us to learn and grow stronger in different ways--spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically.
Our Lenten journey, with all its twists and turns, has now brought us to Holy Week, and I hope that we all can continue to grow and learn amidst these challenges. As a school family and a family at home, we can share the love that God the Father has shown us. Remember Jesus’ gift of the Eucharist on Holy Thursday, and the ultimate sacrifice he made for us on Good Friday so that our sins could be forgiven. Together, take time to say a prayer of thanksgiving for God’s love as we await Jesus’ resurrection on Easter.
We pray:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of everlasting life brought about by the resurrection of your son from the dead! This dark night is enlightened by a glimpse of the greatest mystery. Our minds could never have conceived how you would save us, Lord, nor can we ever fully understand the depths of your love in choosing to do so. We thank you for all that you have done for us throughout Lent. Now, throughout Easter, grant us the fullness of life. AMEN.
(Adapted from “The Joy of Lent: Encouragement and Daily Prayers”)
I pray that you all have a joyous Easter. Take some time to safely enjoy the outdoors and take in some spring air! Take care!
--Mrs. Sandra Jimenez

Lifetouch apologizes for the inconvenience and is grateful for our understanding on this matter.
DISTANCE LEARNING
During the school closure, students should be completing their daily work. Teachers are posting assignments, links, videos, and Zoom invitations regularly on Class Dojo. Please follow their directions on how to submit student work each day and how to check-in for student attendance. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
This Friday, there is no school for Good Friday, and from April 13-17 is Easter Vacation. Therefore, from Friday, April 10 through Friday, April 17, there will be no new assignments or Zoom classes for Distance Learning. Assignments and Zoom classes will resume on Monday, April 20.

FOOD BANK SERVICES
During these uncertain times, you or someone you know may need assistance with basic needs such as daily meals. Here are some resources that could be very helpful.
The Food Bank will be distributing bags of groceries on a weekly basis:
- Thursdays near Mission High School (Dolores Street between 18th and 19th Street)
- Fridays outside of Lincoln High School on 24th Avenue
* Both places will be operating from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The SF-Marin Food Bank also has a “Locator” tool to find food assistance (such as weekly groceries or one-time emergency food) in San Francisco. One of their locations is our own St. Peter’s Church. To access this information and to enroll in their programs, visit the SF-Marin Food Bank website, in both English and Español:
